Holidays are better at the beach. With few crowds, the holiday season is cozy and intimate on the peninsula. Christmas mermaids, a crab pot Christmas tree, and local markets are just a few highlights of the season! Follow Visit Long Beach Peninsula for more holiday events and check back for updates. We’ll add more to this list as the holidays approach. 

 

Celebration & Festivities 

 

November 26th-28th: Holidays at the Beach 

A family favorite, Holidays at the Beach kicks off the day after Thanksgiving. Meet Santa, snuggle up in pajamas to watch The Polar Express, join in a Christmas tree lighting, and meet the Christmas mermaid. Check out the full schedule of events and celebrate the holidays with the ocean in view.

December 4th: Crab Pot Christmas 

The Crab Pot Christmas Tree in Ilwaco is a quirky and beloved tradition! Gather round for the official tree lighting and crabby Christmas carols. The tree lighting is at 5 pm. 

December 4th: Downtown Raymond Lighted Christmas Parade 

Bundle up for this annual small-town tradition in Raymond! Lighted floats line up along 3rd street. The parade runs from 6 pm to 7 pm. Enjoy goodies at New Life Fellowship afterward.

December 4th: Northwest Carriage Museum Holiday Open House

Join the Northwest Carriage Museum at their Holiday Open House on December 4th, 4 pm-6 pm. Take a photo in their festive town sleigh! Save on Holiday shopping, members get 15%, non-members 10% off gift shop items!

December 19: Breakfast Buffet with Santa

Santa Claus is making a special visit to the Shelburne Hotel to find out what everyone wants for Christmas! Come enjoy a breakfast buffet, meet Santa and get your photo taken (please bring your own camera/phone). The buffet is $16 for adults and $12 for kids 12 & under. The buffet is from 8 am to 11 am. No reservations required, pay at the door!

 

Virtual Events: 

 

December 6th-11th: Winterfest Online Auction 

Support the Friends of Chinook School by joining their virtual “Winterfest” auction! The mission of the Friends of Chinook School is to promote the Historic Chinook School in its role as a unique venue for the cultural, educational, social, economic, and recreational enrichment of the broader community for future generations in a sustainable manner.

 

Holiday Markets & Bazaars: 

 

November 20th-21st: Willapa Harbor Vendors Fall Bazaar 

Local artisans come together for this annual holiday bazaar in South Bend! Find one-of-a-kind gifts that you won’t find anywhere else. 

December 11th: Holiday Market at Tokeland Hotel 

Support local vendors, explore the expanded retail section, and enjoy delicious refreshments. Treat yourself to a massage from Self Care by Sonya. The market runs from 10 am to 4 pm. Later in the evening enjoy live music by Alessandra Rose from 9 pm-10:30 pm ($10 admission and free entry for room guests). 

December 18th: Ilwaco Holiday Market & Art Stroll 

The market at the Port of Ilwaco and Salt Pub (upstairs) brings holiday cheer and provides you with an excellent opportunity to shop from the source. The Market’s hours run from 10 am to 4 pm.

December 18th: Holiday Bazaar at Sou’Wester Lodge 

Annual Handmade Bazaar with local and regional goods. Not only will you find unforgettable handmade gifts, but you also get to meet talented artists too! From 10 am to 4 pm.

December 18th: Holiday Bazaar at Adrift Hotel & Spa 

Local artisans & craftspeople will be in the Adrift Lobby & Event Space, ready for all your holiday needs! Complimentary holiday treats will be provided! From 10 am to 4 pm.
